Chicago Review Press is an independent company founded in 1973. Over the years we have grown into a dynamic midsize company with a list of national interest, publishing about 60 new titles yearly under four imprints: Chicago Review Press, Lawrence Hill Books, A Cappella, Ball Publishing, and Zephyr Press.

Chicago Review Press publishes general nonfiction and an award-winning line of children's activity books. Lawrence Hill Books publishes mostly nonfiction on topics of African American interest, progressive politics, and feminism. A Cappella is an arts imprint specializing in music and film. Ball Publishing specializes in professional gardening books, and Zephyr Press publishes professional development titles for teachers interested in multiple intelligences, brain development, and gifted education.
